Indoor & Outdoor Epoxy Resin Cast CT Instrument Transformers
Current Transformers 12-24 kV Series include CIC’s long-selling, well-received 24 kV epoxy-resin-cast CTs “EWF-20 series” with over 20 years of proven quality and practical design. Other major product lines include outdoor metering ERCTs, multi-ratio bushing CTs (for withdrawable switchgear), indoor CTs for regions with polluted air, CTs for SF6-insulated MOF switchgear, and dual-core cast-resin CTs with U-groove design on top.
CIC primarily uses Huntsman Araldite® epoxy resin insulation for indoor CTs, while outdoor current transformers feature special cycloaliphatic epoxy resin for UV resistance. All type tests and routine tests for CIC's Medium-Voltage Current Transformers are conducted in CIC’s Advanced Electricity Lab, accredited by the ILAC member TAF, ensuring the highest quality standards. Cut-core, medium-voltage, indoor-use, coil molded current transformer intended for a 12 kV (max.) power system and suited for measuring or monitoring instruments. Insulated with Araldite® epoxy resin.
2-core current transformers designed for 12 kV (max.) power systems for use with measuring (or monitoring) instruments and protective relays, these products are cast in Araldite® epoxy and meet the requirements of all major electrical standards.
Single-core and 2-core indoor window-type current transformers for power systems ≦ 15 kV. Primary current: 500~3000 A (single-ratio or multi-ratio). Araldite® epoxy resin. Used with measuring or monitoring instruments, or for protection.

For use in conjunction with energy meters or protective relays. Available in single-core, 2-core, and 3-core models. Insulated with Araldite® epoxy resin. Custom-made to meet various requirements.
2-core epoxy-cast current transformer for a 24 kV (max.) power system. For use with measuring or monitoring instruments, and protective relays. “U-shaped top” design for safety and for a shorter distance between two current transformers installed side-by-side, thus reducing the required width of the switchgear panel.
For power companies. To be mounted inside the SF6 gas-insulated MOF panel of a 25.5 kV (max) power system. With 2 primary coils, this current transformer offers 2 current ratios while maintaining the required accuracy and burden rating at each current ratio. Insulated with Araldite® epoxy resin.
2-core current transformer for a 20~24kV power system. Used in conjunction with measuring or monitoring instruments, and with protective relays. Epoxy cast. Designed to have greater creepage, it is appropriate for polluted regions.
Current transformers for installation in a switchgear panel of a 25kV (max.) power system and to be used with measuring or monitoring instruments, or protective relays. These are economic models suited to locations of high humidity or moderate pollution. The insulation material for the core and the secondary coil is Araldite® epoxy resin.

Multi-ratio bushing current transformers (bushing CTs, or BCTs) designed for 24kV draw-out circuit breakers and to be used with measuring (or monitoring) instruments or protective relays. IEEE 0.3 B-0.9. Cast in Araldite® epoxy.

These outdoor current transformers for revenue metering, intended for 12~36 kV power systems, are used as part of an MOF (Metering Outfit) or for current monitoring. Insulated with UV-resistant cycloaliphatic epoxy resin, these medium-voltage (MV) current transformers are ideal for outdoor use and can be available as Extended Range Current Transformers (ERCTs) when requested.
