With a continuous output capacity of 4000 VA (max.), it can also serve in a small substation or a switchgear panel as a power source for circuit breaker operation and lighting equipment*. * Power source for circuit breaker operation and lighting equipment: In this application, the voltage transformer can also be referred to as a "control power transformer" (CPT), "control transformer" (CTR), "industrial control transformer," or a "machine tool transformer."

VPF Series
Outdoor voltage transformers in the VPF Series are medium-voltage (MV) potential transformers designed for revenue metering applications. As part of a Metering Outfit (MOF), these 15.5–36.5 kV instrument transformers are cast in Araldite® UV-resistant cycloaliphatic epoxy resin and are suitable for long-term outdoor service in harsh environments, including solar ultraviolet radiation, salt fog, high temperature, and high humidity.
